Monosodium phosphate which is also known as anhydrous monobasic sodium phosphate and sodium di-hydrogen phosphate, is a compound of di-hydrogen phosphate and sodium. one among plenty of sodium phosphates used very commonly as an industrial chemical. It exists as an anhydrous salt, as well as mono- and dehydrates. The salt is obtained by partial neutralization of phosphoric acid and reacting it with Caustic Soda until the desired PH is obtained.
Applications:
- Mono sodium phosphate is used in process production of baking powders
- Mono sodium phosphate is efficiently used in boiling water treatment.
- MSP Forms a dry acidulate & sequestrant for foods, Tidridge Pals
- Monosodium Phosphate is used as a PH buffer along with other Sodium Phosphates
